Default Never give up on a day....

Last Friday I was fishing alone and the bite was slow so I put the top up and spent a couple of hours just riding in the shade and looking.

We get in such a habit of going back to favorite spots and ignoring 80% of the lake that we miss so much. In an area that I thought was completely bare I found the brushpile in the screen shot below. It looks like some big logs that fell over in a pile and sunk. I didn't fish there yet but I know it will hold Crappie. I also found four other good looking spots.
    Time well spent.

    Good fishing.

Always enjoy your post that looks to be some pretty good sized logs, great picture. In the 455Hz pict looks like quite a few fish hanging around.

I get more exited finding new spots than catching fish sometimes. Nice one.

Good advice, i spend loys of time on trolling motor watching depthfinder. I don't have high end electronics but still find lots of stuff . Not unusual for me to zig zag across new areas after limiting out some days. I have several hand held gps to log it all in and a book at home to back up record it.

Good report my friend. I also enjoy reading your reports and seeing your DVD's.

Cool screen shot! I also love to find new spots but am guilty of hitting the old favorites first...Thanks for the post and pic.

Great shot. What brand and model of electronics are you using?
