    Default Trolling motor help

I have a minn Kota powerdrive trolling motor and when I push the foot pedal to the left, it will not turn.
Does anyone have any suggestions of where I can purchase a new foot pedal?

    Default Foot Pedal

Borrow a foot pedal and try it on your motor.

I purchased a powerdrive and used it one day. I had used Minn Kota Maxum for years and I don't know why I purchased the powerdrive. I run a Maxum 36 101 now and I have had no problems at all. Personally I think the best thing you can do is get rid of it and buy a 24 volt Maxum. They are more quite and very reliable.

    BigBob,
It could be a couple different things causing your problem. It could be your foot pedal or it could be in the coil cord going from the head to the drive housing. Try turning it to the left while stretching out the coil cord. If you can make it work while you are messing with the coil cord, then you have a bad wire in it. Or borrow a foot pedal from some one that is not having any trouble with their power drive and see if that solves your problem. If you find the problem, let me know and I will save you some money on the part you need. Send me an email to [email protected]
Have a crappie day!:D [email protected]
