I didn't vote because I use all of the techniques listed in the Fall (and some others). I try different stuff until I find something that works.

    Thumbs up

i use what ever presents itself. rip-rap, brushpiles, standing timber, custom made mats, logs, spillways, bridge pilings, railroad trestles. my kind of fishing does not take place on huge impoundments, so i guess you could say i fish anywhere i can for crappie.

I fish the same way I do all year long (tightlining jigs and dipping minnows over brushpiles) spring, summer, winter, just at the appropriate depths, of which the fish determine, of course. No matter how any of us think we are good at crappie fishing, the fish will always win and decide whether they will be caught or not!!! Ain't our creation great?!

    Default None of the above

If we have open water, we cast and retrieve any time of the year. We also do some jigging in standing timber. - Roberta

Well if we had any water I would go, but I troll and most all other ways too. Trolling a jig is my favorite though.
