    Have you tried this :

Why am I receiving a "long running script" error message?

"Long running script" error messages are specific to Internet Explorer. These messages are generally intended for developers who are testing and building a website You should be able to get rid of them by disabling certain browser settings:

    • Open Internet Explorer
    • Click the 'Tools' menu, and then select 'Internet Options'
    • Click the 'Advanced' tab, select the 'Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer)' and 'Disable script debugging (Other)' check boxes
    • Clear the 'Display a notification about every script error' check box, and then click OK

You may also avoid these error messages by using an alternate browser.

I'm using Google Chrome with no problems ... others have touted Mozilla Firefox as being good, as well.

Yes. I've made those changes and thought that was the fix, but it didn't work out. I can see why it didn't, but haven't dug into it. I've changed browsers and am using Firefox with no problems. I may look into it a bit further just for the fun of it.

I used the above procedure, cleared browsing history and cookies, downloaded the latest version of Java and deleted all the old versions, and it seems to be better. IE is still slower than Firefox. I also disabled all add ons, but it did not make any difference. Just from the load time, I still think there is a problem.

Is anyone who is seeing the long running script message running Windows 7?

Once I got the pop up stopped, the load time was still long. I switched to compatibility view and the load time is good, but it creates the problem of not being able to hit enter and start a new line when posting. Again, firefox runs great. If you want to try it, you can switch to compatibility view by hitting the icon just to the right of where you type in the website address. The icon looks like a broken box. I can probably undo what I've done and check it myself.
