OZARK 16'ers!!
I am looking to buy 6 new 16' spider rigging rods. While watching the latest Crappie Time, I noticed that Ronnie Capps said they were using BnM BGJPs and not the Capps & Colemans. Wondering which one you guys prefer? BGJP about $12 cheaper!!!

JT they are good rods as are the Ozarks. I have some Southern Crappie rods in 14 that I am really impressed with and they are priced right compared to the others.

Thanks guys for the replies! Iam not looking to change from BnM's as they have given me no reason to. I have switched my 14' PST's to use for pulling cranks. I want 16'ers for rigging. I have a couple 10' BGJP's that work great. I like the sensitivity and plenty of backbone!

I use BGJP and they work great. I like to troll at a snails pace, and usually use 1/2 sinkers, wouldn't want to go much heavier, I'm happy with them.
My bgjp's are 12' and less, but the versatility of them and the different styles I do they are the best bang for my buck. I agree with locator that I wouldn't want to go much heavier than1/2oz. Big fish so far was a 11.2lb cat on one of them so they can sure enough take it if you keep your head on straight.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
If you plan on using 1/2 ounce rigs or smaller BGJPs are the way to go.

I will occasionally use 3/4 if windy or fish seem to want it moving a little faster. Should I go with the C&C because of that?

The bgjp has more backbone than the c&c!!! I have used both . The bgjp is the best pole . I also have a set of ozarks they also a very good pole . I have used both 14 and 16ft poles and the 14ft poles to me are the best alround.

Last I heard, if you use the BGJP to spider rig, you will void any warranty. As said, if you're using no more than 1/2 oz, they are a phenomenal rod.
