Default I put a bend in my B&M today

A wonderful evening around 80, no wind, with a full moon, so I grabbed my B&M crappie 12' rod with some 1/32 oz home tied marabou jigs and headed to a local lake.

I have a Scadden Outlaw Escape pontoon and a portable fish finder. I usually use my UL spin with 2 lb NanoFil (.002 diameter) but after reading all the hype on this site about long rods ...... I gave my B&M a good workout! I forgot about that rod as it sat in a corner for the last 10 years. LOL

All the crappie were in about 12' to 15' of water when it got dark. A 12' rod is perfect for keeping the jig a foot off the bottom in the dark. No casting, I could just flip it out and check the depth against the rod when I held it up. I'm hooked, I like a long crappie rod so much better.

I caught about 40 crappie, and kept 15 for tablefare. From a clean lake, they are the best eating fish there is IMHO!

    Tight Lines,

I have been wanting to get three more of the long rods. I have a 12' and want a at least one more 12 and two 14's.

Those sure are some nice ones.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
