    Default Mifflin Lake


    Went to Mifflin Lake yesterday. Lot of fish on the structure, but they had lock jaw. I was using jigs, I had to sit on top of the structure and ease the jig down to the bottom and then back up to get a bite. I ended up with 6 nice ones, lost or released another 10. I think I'll try spider rigging with minnows next time.

    My wife and I have been fishing Mifflin for the last 8 weeks every other weekend. We have had good luck spider rigging using minnows. Saturday evening we kept 15 with the largest being 141/2". I do not know how many we caught that were 10" or less. The most excitement was when my wife caught a cat that was about 3 lb. on a 12' crappie pole. She had her hands full but she got it in, she was one happy lady.
