    Pepop,
Do you brush tap the top candy orange coat or do you dip it? Any tricks I need to know to keep the top coat thin enough?
Thanks dad for teaching me to love crappie fishing!!

It's a little tricky but the way I was told works pretty good. When I'm using the Vein as a base anyway, I heat the head a little more than usual then dip the head and pass it over my heat source several times to get maximum veining. Once I'm satisfied I let the head cool off completely (some folks will even cure the base coat then re-heat for the candy coat but I haven't tried it that way yet), heat it up again normally and a quick dip in the candy & knock off any excess. I sometimes get some slight "nosing" but usually not too bad.
