Default All this talk of old men.......

.......has my memory card spinning in overload.
Who can finish this song and name the show? (I think it was a nationally broadcast show in its day):

" From the lakes of northern Canada to the Gulf of Mexico, wherever fish are bitin', that's where we're gonna go. There's a lot of excitin' country, just waitin' to be explored. So join us now in the great outdoors, world of ?????? ????."

    That's the one!

He just passed away this past September. 93 years old - I thought he was in his 90's 25 years ago.

Between Virgil and the Linder brothers, the fishing industry changed forever.

Don't forget "The Sportsrman's Friend", Harold Ensley. He's still alive and will probably be at the Kansas City sports show. <*)}}}><

Thumbs up Thar's a new Sheriff in town!

I grew up watching 'ol Virgil, Bill Dance, and no one mentioned Babe Winkleman either. I always tried to catch Jimmy Houston's Outdoors once in awhile too, even though I hate Green Carp! It is a much different viewing world today. I still love watching Bill dance, and the In Fisherman show. I really respect both of the Lindears' fishing knowledge.

I'd keep an eye out for Russ Bailey's show now! It is starting to spread like wildfire, and it's focus is just on Crappie. Hey Russ... I love you man!!! :D
