Lake Griffin results, June 8th, 2013

June 8th, FCC 11th on schedule

Lake Griffin
Herlong Park Ramp
Leesburg, Fl

Ten (10) teams took on Lake Griffin, heat
seemed to play role along with stirred up
water and imput of rain from Andrea made
for a somewhat confused state for "Ole
Mr. Crappie" whether he bite or not, with
so much food source available.

One (1) position paid for "Big Fish"

1st: Darryl & Terri Cole
1 lb. 6.0 oz.

Two (2) positions paid for "7 fish total
catch weight"

1st: Darryl & Terri Cole
5 lbs 12.0 oz.

2nd: John Payton
5 lbs. 5.0 oz.

Fishing was so tuff on Griffin that only
two (2) team were able to come in with
a 7 fish weight. Five (5) teams did not
keep a single fish for weigh in. (Griffin has
new 10 inch keeper size in effect for
2013 which will improve quality of fishery
in future)

Had there been a 3rd position paid, it would have gone to Bercaw/Harry team
with two (2) fish weight of 1 lb. 7 oz.

Cole team fished southeast shore line of
lake with Wally Marshall rods, Skipper Jigs
grey/blue collar, Ron's Zip jigs, "hotpink"
and Just Jiggin Ice Jigs, blue/white glitter.
They spider rigged, minnow tipped in
8-9' water.

Next tournament will be June 22nd,
Crooked Lake, south of Lake Wales, Fl off
Alt 27, Bob's Landing, Babson Park.
Spring fed, somewhat clear, 5,500 acre
lake with multi levels of depth from 50 ft
- 3ft. This will be first time FCC has held
tournament on this lake. Will be new
learning experience for all.

Ye Ole sec. made error, did not have
hearing aids turned up....

Entry of John Young & Enoch Harris finished
third with 6 fish and a weight of 4 lbs, 10.6 oz..,
thus moving Bercaw/Harry 4th.........
