    Default Smithville today

Three of us went out this morning and played in the mud from 7:00 till about 9:20, not a bite. Deep, shallow and in between, nada. Danny said since the fish werent biting, we had to make Mickey D's by 10:30. Eased around real slow and went and found some clean water and caught 8 good eaters in 20 minutes and off the water in time for breakfast. 12' deep. 8' down and also in 8' of water. Anything chartreuse worked. All still full of eggs. Wish we didnt have yards to mow today, been nice to stick around. Be careful, lots of crap hiding underwater. Water temp was 67*, 69* last weekend.

I was out with my father in law and the little ones where hammering all morning long. Left the lake with 4 keepers though.

Yeah Jared, thought I would follow the muddy water into the brush but couldnt find them. Went to the pretty water and there they were. My partners were cold and hungry and my idea was vetoed 2-1. If they dont get too much 0n Tues-Wed, should be a good time. Its a mud pit above Mecca road if this helps, or hurts anyones plans.

Jiggin4abiggun & I went out this morning & the muddy water has worked it's way into the south end of Trimble. Went to a favorite cove above Mecca, tough bite! It was a run and gun day and the production was the worst it has been all year so far! I guess with the shady weather we've been having, it's expected though. Have fun at the Saturdays tourney with rain expected tues. & wed. Should be a beautiful darker shade of chocolate milk by then. BE CAREFUL out there if ya'll go up north!!!

Do you mean that the stumps are gonna be hard to see or is there a lot of floating debris, too?

By the way, the first big cove on the left when you leave the W ramp, the one with the yellow marks on the trees going in showing the boat lane, had some good water sunday.
