I have a Terrova 80 on my Horizon 1860 and couldn't be happier. On rabbit speed, it will typically move my boat 3 mph but is rarely used that fast. I would quit longlining and trolling Bandits if I had to give up my Terrova. It has been responsible for most of the fish that have come over the sides of my boat over the last couple of years.

I know nothing about the Motor Guide motor. I stopped using Motor Guide motors a couple of decades ago. Nothing but trouble with them then.
