I have a Terrova 80 on my Horizon 1860 and couldn't be happier. On rabbit speed, it will typically move my boat 3 mph but is rarely used that fast. I would quit longlining and trolling Bandits if I had to give up my Terrova. It has been responsible for most of the fish that have come over the sides of my boat over the last couple of years.
I know nothing about the Motor Guide motor. I stopped using Motor Guide motors a couple of decades ago. Nothing but trouble with them then.

I have a motorguide wireless on my boat and it is a total p.o.s. The receiver has gone out and had to be replaced, the gears that turn the motor stripped out and you cant turn it with motor is running its a $900 anchor, avoid at all cost
Minn Kota dominates this market, no reason to buy a wanna be like the Motor Guide.
