Default 4 days of fun on Stockton

Got down there late friday at around 9pm. Put the boat in the soup and headed to the creek. Found some brush and started jigging white and chart on the stumps and found about 6 keeper crappie and threw back a dozen more. Plenty of fish in the 9.5 range. The keepers were nice though many 11 to 13 inches long. Found two little trees and just decided to drop and see as I was passing jig hit the bottom and bam reeled in a nice walleye. Threw the towel in at around midnight, and headed back to the State Park Marina to sleep.
Headed out at 5:30 the next morning and went to the same spot. Found around a dozen keeper crappie on trees in 10 to 30 feet of water right off the bottom. Talking to another camper I cast into some brush and pulled in another walleye. They both measured 19 and 22 inches. Also caught several largemouth bass. I eat those things man they're good. You compare one of those filets to a white bass and I would rather have a large mouth to eat. Fished that night with no luck really to speak of.
Went out the next morning and trolled cranks and picked up some more crappie and white bass. Then went toward the bridge passed Masters that evening and caught a bunch of big crappie trolling cranks 100 ft back on some beds I had dumped there in years passed. Another guy was anchored over them catching crappie and walleye jigging with his little son, that made me pretty happy.
Monday morning was a wash I couldn't buy a bite and had to be checked out at 11am so I called it quits. All in all had about fifteen pounds of filets when it was all said and done with the white bass, crappie, largemouth, and walleye all caught on jig and minnow or crank baits. Good weekend. Thanks troops for what you do and what you have done. God Bless.
