    Default The wier friday morning

Out at daylight to beat the wind out in front of the Dam. Started running water around 6:00am. Caught crappie about 16ft. deep on BG electric chicken and minnows. Wind picked up so heade to a cove we like and found some on the bank and out around 10ft deep. Ended up with 26 crappie. Got into the whites also, what a good time. Wyatt caught several between breaks.

Good job getting Wyatt after some more fish! I have never fished the weir. I will have to try it sometime.

Kayaking the weir, one of my favorite late spring activities.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

The weir is one of our favorite spots to fish this time of year also. It should get better in the next couple of weeks.

You are a lucky man. To have your son as a fishing buddy is priceless. My son is 29 now and it's all we can do to get away once every couple of months. On the other hand the grandson just turned one. I've got the rod and reel bought. Just waiting for him to grow up a little.
God bless Charlie Brewer and Bobby Garland.

I do feel lucky. He's a pretty good boy. Loves to go fishing anytime, and enjoys readind and hearing about the reports here on CDC. He's already calling himself long poker2.
