Default Eldorado - spawn for keepers over? Dink invasion!

New to the site in the last month. First post.
Kudos go to everyone for updates.

Been hitting Eldorado hard last couple of weeks.. limited to
bank fishing for now. I missed the start of things with the
few hot days before the freezing weather. I guess there were
some major stringers with good size then and they were close
    to the bank.

Been really really slow with a few keepers since. You really had to
work for 'em. (I pretty much just use jigs etc. - not minnows)

That is... until the last couple of days. The dinks have
invaded the banks. I'm talkin 6 inchers. Thick - right at the bank.

For all you experienced Eldorado goers.. have the keepers moved
out in post-spawn areas and turned it over to the dinks?

Dang.. I wanted to put some numbers in the freezer.. appreciate
    any input.

I was fishing from the bank most of last weekend and I caught 25 or so really small ones - 6-7 inchers - not keepers at all. Keep in mind though, I'm a long time catfish guy who is working to learn how to fish for these bad boys, so I might not be a very good yard stick to use. I think some other guys had pretty good luck last weekend, but not sure how this weekend is gonna be. Maybe all of the big fish got calendars and decided to hide out deep until the lake calms down after the holiday weekend! LOL

    Shane..

Deeper? Meaning shore areas close to deeper water but still near shore?

I've fished Chealsea cove.. there were keepers there replaced
by dinks but shallow I realize.. went to the west side shore up and down from the quarry..no crappie there but a couple of good wipers deep
water not far off shore there.. south ramp/fingers area loaded with dinks close in-deep water not far off there either.. haven't climbed along the
dam yet - gettin' to old to navigate them boulders..

A friend should have a restored boat up an running this weekend.. that'll
    help.

we've caught some the past week and shane says the good ones are out aways. our bigger ones are coming from 8 to 12 feet of water but we aren't targeting them specifically but we are catching them on occasion. deeper the water the bigger the crappie it seems like right now. that's my observation anyhow.
