Default How do you fish the same depth consistantly

I was wondering how yall fish the same depth over and over easily. For instance if you are fishing under a bridge and the fish are 25' over a 35' bottom. And if you didn't want to use a slip bobber. How do you measure off the right amount of line, easily and quickly? I figured some of yall experts could save me a lot of trial and error time here.
    I appreciate any input.

if you know the rate of retrieval of your reel, then just drop the jig to bottom, then reel it back up the correct amount and there ya go.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

??? Do you mean marks with a sharpie, or something on the line itself?

Sometimes I use a bobber stop.

Use the little triangle thingey on spinning reels. Just put the line around that when you find the depth then fish as normal.

I use spinning reels and what I do is hook the line with my finger just in front of the first eye up from the reel and spread my arms while letting the line slip through my finger with the bait at water level and with my arms stretched that is around 11 or 12 feet, releasing the line allows it to drop that distance, from there it is fairly easy to guess up or down a few feet.... If I'm fishing deeper like maybe 20 feet, I do the first step the same and after that drops to that depth, I pinch the line between my finger and thumb just in front of the same eye and pull the line across my body again and that adds about 5 or 6 more feet, you can go back to the same depth fairly easily if you catch fish at whatever depth you were at.... I seldom if ever fish more than 25 feet so this system pretty much allows me to return to the depth where I caught a fish at or where I might see fish on the fishfinder... There are dozens of ways to do this but this is easier for me.
