There was a recent post about this with several people offering info. Take a look. I prefer the round head jigs but also use the insert style at times.

Is one type of head/weight better than the other? Or is it just personal preference? I heard that the insert weight causes more line twist than the round head does when the tube falls throught he water. Is this true? I mainly fish my tubes with a float.

Tube with jig on outside fall faster with less spinning whereas tube with heads inside fall slower,if I was fishing in shallow water I would use head inside and deeper water may use head outside, however with cork it should not matter and if line was to twist than I would think under bobber it would untwist

round head on the outside of tube gives ya something to hold on to when unhookin fish. Speeds up process
I use Umbrella tubes and a 1/8 oz round head fits inside. I think fish hold on better sometimes, definitely stays on better. I use a small inline barrel swivel to prevent line twist about 15'' above my jig too!
