    Default Trollin Crankbait question>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Which series of Bandits to troll 12 ft to 14 ft??

I have a 17X54 War eagle. Which rod holders for the side of the boat are the best durabilitywise? I plan on running 3 poles on each side and will the holders change positions for the angle of the road?

    Thanks in advance!

I am not all that knowledgeable about trolling crank baits, but I have seen discussions and I think most use 200 & 300 Series Bandits. I think many here like a brand different from me on rod holders and they can fill you in about that, but I like Bee Ready Rod Holder for my self.

Whatever kind of holders you get make sure you get left hand thread for the left side.

The Bandit 300's will dive 12-14' deep when pulled anywhere from 80 to 150' behind the boat at 2 to 2.5mph. Use the 200 series if you wish to troll shollower. Rapalla's shad rap series will also run about 8' deep like the Bandit 200's at the same speeds.

For pulling cranks it tough to beat RAM rod holders.Especially if you'rewanting to sppace them out along the side of the boat.

Try the 300 series Bandit crankbaits, in either pearl or shad colors...no need to have every color of the rainbow in your tacklebox...the Driftmaster 'Lil Flatliner rod holders are what I use, with two 3/8 inch nuts instead of the supplied wingnut, which isn't enuff to keep it from turning under stress...the upper nut will lock the lower into position...you can still change the angle of the rodholder easily with a crescent wrench...hope this helps...
