Wish i could join you but Iberia has their annual fallfest this weekend and i guess i better show up i have two boys that will be in the parade...sunday looks good though dont really see a reason to watch the chiefs with green hurt and huard starting.

If they keep moving up the date on opening bow season they wont even need to close it,i was thinking it still opened oct 1 they are wanting rid of some of these deer.Good luck Greg hope you stick a good un,i'm thinking about getting one and bringing some deer meat to camp that would be eatin on the grill.

My fishing has really messed up my Bow Hunting, and the place I hunted for the last seven years got sold.
We had killed 26 does the first four years and no buck unless they looked bad genetics.
Two seasons ago I got a nice 8 point the first day.
Two days later I had a nice 12 point walk up man I wanted to shoot.
Someone else would had to tag it so I did not.
And last year they put the place up for sale and I just kept fishing through the season.
I have a new place to hunt 2000 acres but I like pulling them slabs.

This'll be my first year Deer Hunting. I used to hunt pheasant and quail in Illinois. But the only good hunting in this area for pheasant or quail is pay per shoot. Purchased a Win .308. I'm precise, but not accurate. I still have some practicin' to do.

Man I'm excited about October. I think I may have my tournament partner coming down just for pre-fishing. Gonna pick up a Map today from BPS. I would purchase a map at Wal Mart, but I quit shoppin' there after they announced they would be sponsoring Homosexual functions.
I think Crappie Fishermen have been repressed for years by Green Carp Fishermen. Maybe I could get Wal Mart to sponsor our outing in October. We'll just divi up the $25,000.00.

Thanks Bugs.:D I have some trail camera pics of a nice 8 pointer.Now i just gotta get him in front of me and i'll stickem.They keep pushin the season up sooner and we will be huntin the furry critters in June.But someones gotta do it.:D My wife thinks im nuts.I tell her thats my quiet time watchin the world wake up,just dont get much better than that for me.Except maybe catch awhole bunch a slabs.:D But we can do that all year so i am really into my huntin.

I used to be into huntin like that but now i find my peace with a crappie rod in my hand...them big ole slabs now have my full attention.

Ed, I'm going to head down also, but I have to meet a contractor at the house around 9am, whenever I get done with him, I'm on the way. P.M. me your cell # if you think you'll still be down there around 11 or so. I gotta give the slab slay'r baits a run for the money.
