    I will be back to Missouri in late July, will have time to fish in Aug, where and when is the best time to fish for crappie. Thanks.

    Most of the major lakes are really good in August.... pull back to deeper water around creeks channels and drop offs.

    Truman fish will be on the flats in shallow water. Great time to feel the thump.

    X-2 that's my favorite time to fish
    There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
