Fished the lake last thursday, figured the recent cool weather we have been having would have cooled the water down a bit, i waws wrong the water temperature was around 83 degrees . Shad was moving everywhere in the lake but it seemed the only thing to be eating them was bass, guess the crappie are stilll in the river channel. Going today and Im going to fish upriver and see how it is. Can't wait till october:D

I went Friday after noon and fished the river channel up near Chaonia landing,
Didn't have much luck there either.

Fisher Dan did u do any bass fishing when u went? I went Sunday afternoon and caught a few bass south of the holiday landing area, crappie fishing was a little better up river caught a few on minnows.

the crappie I cought were on minnows also. Didn't do any bass fishing tho.
