deck padding.

Do any of you fellas have padding under the carpet on the decks of your boat? I am going to replace my carpet and I am thinking about padding the front deck to make it a little more comfortable to stand on all day jigging, or kneeling down shooting docks and stuff. I could pad the front deck for a little over $100, so not that expensive at all. If anybody has any experience with the padding I would like some feedback, thanks

Padding will hold water. Get an exercise pad at wal mart. They help a lot and are cheeeep.

They make specialty padding for boats, I think its called "closed cell". This type padding comes standard on the new Ranger boats I believe. I could be wrong but alot of folks are using it right now........

I have a friend that loves the padding under his carpet. Redone his carpet last year and said he would not do without it. Never fished from his boat, so this is second hand information.

Why not just have your boat done in Seadeck? They can coler coordinate and custom fit to your boat.

Never heard of it, I will check it out.

Go to microskiff or thehulltruth and search it. You will get plenty pics. Really nice stuff and can even cut graphics in it.
