Default port bay fishing for crappie

went out yesterday looking for crappie, caught tons but most undersized. did manage 10 keepers but most were 9-9 1/2" with couple at 10+"
caught a few decent gills and 4 nice rock bass one measuring 11 1/2" so not too bad of a day but any clues where the big ones are. i am fishing port bay which is one of the bays of lake ontario in upstate ny (wolcott, ny).

I'm not familiar with your area, but here the females will stage in deeper water on or near brush piles. It looks like you were catching the males that are preparing beds for the spawn. I would bet that the females aren't very far behind. Just look a little deeper, on drops or brush near where you are finding those males.
