Hi guys/gals i was wondering if anyone knew if these crappies are biting? Been a weird spring here in Kansas City, one week hot then the next week rain/snow showers, I have been out plenty times but its hit and miss anything will help! Preferbly surrounding area in Kansas City, thanks guy!

thanks Cmj, well we have rain/snow right now so maybe crappie spawn might be a bust this year
It shouldn't be "a bust" until/unless the water temps get over 75deg & stay there. Even under optimal conditions, most spawns take a week or two to complete. The Crappie will usually only give up and absorb the eggs, after the water temps of the deepest depth they would spawn in gets too high for the fry to survive. Otherwise, they will keep trying.
