    Default piranha max

I have a Hummingbird PiranhaMAX 153, no matter what dept of water it constantly shows 3-4ft. Every lake can't be 3-4 feet. Anyone have any input on what I am doing wrong?

I can try. It had another fish finder on the boat when I got it 10 years ago and it worked great. When it finally died I went and got the new one. I just put the new transducer in the same spot, ran the wires, and turned it on. It showed 3 feet out of the water. I ran the simulator, played with it, it did beep on time and showed a fish or two. It shows the temp.

    What does this mean ....??
It showed 3 feet out of the water

(Sonar will not read thru air...)

Is the unit showing 3-4 ft while in the water ...no matter the actual water depth...??

If boat is in water and reading like that, you either have a bad connection, bad cable or bad ducer. If out ov water that's all your going to get.

One of mine has the option to use two different frequency transducers in the setup menu. When I screwed it up once, that's what happened to me.
