Default Illinois River sets new 100 year flood record.

Minor flooding begins at 18', moderate flooding at 22', 100 year record was 28.8', new record is 29.35'.

I drive by Lakeview apartments everyday. That is normally a parking lot in front of the building, and the water is normally 50' from the building, and high enough to miss the moderate flooding stage.

Yes, my son's wife has family living right along the Ill River (well about 20 feet) near town of Chillicothe just north of Peoria ,Illinois. Well presently they are living in a motel cause they can't get to house.........

Water has been receding at a very slow pace.
