Default Berkley Fireline Fused Crystal Superline

I tried Berkley solutions 4# on my 6'6" Wally Marshall Signature Spinning Rod. It cast fantastic. I was using crappie size
spinner baits they kept breaking off. So I bought a spool of 6# Fireline hoping my spinners wont break off. The problem may have been the weight or line twist. I added a swivel, that should help. Anyone use Fireline on a spinning outfit,is it worth the $17 for 125yds?

IMO, there's no need to put it all on one reel. I would put 60 yards on two reels (or even 40 yards on three.) Use cheap mono or fly line backing to fill out the spool. It's much more economical that way.

I use 20# braid backing. I think the swivel may stop the line from breaking. There was no stress on the berkley solutions 4#.
I didnt think about the weight and possible line twist. I should have used a swivel with the 4# but I seldum use swivels.

I've used fire line for years, as already mentioned I put a half of spool over filler on two reels. Also when it starts fraying I pull it off and re-spool it on backwards, I get a lot of use out of it this way.

Braid has a different personality as you may already know. Loops are the biggest problem for me. The casting is awesome but I have to close the bail by hand or I get loops that are merciless. Backing and half the spool on the casting rods, and backing and 1/3 the spool on jigging rods for me.
