    Default Question for ED

Hey Ed: Hope thing are well with you and yours.

I think I've figure out the instant notification deal. Just have to log on to site after each notification to get more. No problem.

At home, the toolbar has a "quick link" drop down bar. But when I view the site at work it doesn't have it. (???)

I should work at work but my philosophy of management is -- go to work, push the "go" button and let it happen. If I'm working hard, then things aren't the way they're suppose to be. So, I watch crappie.com to pass the time and pray for the ability to retirement someday.

Anyway, why the difference. Go ahead and get techie. Got 15 years of an IT carrier before moving to paper and ink (newspaper). Burnout!!!

Anything I can ever do to help, just ask.

Quick Links are not displayed if you are not logged on. So I'm suspecting that at work, you're not posting, just viewing, therefore you don't need to be logged on.

One thing you might do is, pass my resume on to some of those IT contacts. See www.edmoes.com

    Yes another of my sites!

    Default Will Do

No, I'm logged on at work. Oh, well.

I will keep your resume at hand and pass it along if the opportunity arises.

    OK, next try.

I searched for vB issues with Quick Links and found a broken link describing a problem with Internet Explorer Version 5. Darryl, what versions of browsers are you using at each location?

Since it was a broken link, I could not find out more info, but I won't give up. Lets see if we can't figure this one out. Prolly not that big of a deal for you, but its more of a curiosity at this point.

    Default Explorer version

IE 6.0 at home and don't know at work. I'll check tomorrow. It's a Mac.

Doh, it's got to be cause it's a Mac.

I do respect Mac quite a bit though. Quality stuff, just not mainstream as much as PC.

    Default MAC's

Yep, MAC's are very stable platforms. However, their newer OS operating systems are becoming more like PC platforms and they're merging in similarities and functionality. Plus, more and more viruses are being written for MAC's now, so that benefit is going away.
