    Default Crappie soft plasric

I've been using paddle bugs for years for my crappie fishing. Well last year I used crappie critters and this year I bought Strike King Jokers and one other strike king plastics. Is any other ones you all suggest at all.

Just about anything Bobby Garland works well. I like the Crappie Sliders action a lot too. Numerous colors on both
products makes for varied selection and if one color doesn't produce, try another color. Lightwirehooker on this site
has excellent jig heads/hooks and priced right. Go to the Jig thread and you'll find the best selection of jig pourers
anywhere. I've purchased from several and have no regrets. Prices are right and so many to choose from it will make
    your head swim. Good luck.

For a one rod ,casting, docking shooting ,jigging ,I use only a stinger type grub that I make, others are good but to me it does very good and all I need, if I were longing linning, I would use a curly tailq

Southern pro Umbrella Tubes. I love those things and the way they flutter in the water. I insert my lead heads (usually 1/8 oz with #2 hook) , that way it is totally soft . I see fish hang on same way they used to hit minnows. I jig fish with a jig pole in each hand. Sometimes I set one down while landing a good fish only to see it bend over with another.

I use one or the other of the following plastic bodies:

Bass Assassin Panfish Assassin 1.5" Tiny Shad
    CrappiePro Solid Body Tubes 1.75"
    Bobby Garland Baby Shad
    Charlie Brewer's Crappie Slider
    Southern Pro Crappie Slugs
Microspoons Nasty Shad (no longer produced by Microspoons)

    ....or I have
Snakeriver or RonDon custom make similarly shaped plastic bodies

I prefer solid body plastics, over hollow tubes, as they tend to stay on the jighead better/longer. But, with that said, I DID use BPS Sparkle Squirts hollow tubes for years .. with much success !! As has been mentioned ... solid body plastics do tend to work better when shooting docks, as they tend to skip across the water better than hollow baits. IMHO & from my experiences.

We use tube jigs most of the time (injected full of C N) but this spring I was playing around with the tiny flukes on a 1/32 head and was getting slammed bouncing it above the grass in 8' and could see the bait get eaten. We were using the color called "baitfish" and I am going to experiment more with them this weekend in a bit deeper water as well. The action with a light jig head is awesome.

I use mostly tube plastics made by midsouth, they are a little tougher and I sometime inject the cavity with watered down crappie nibbles. I like to use a light wire hook cause I always get snagged and its easier to get your stuff back.
