What are you calling high? I shipped two 10' Ozarks for $7.
Does anyone here know how to get low shipping prices for fishing rods? Trying to sell some but the shipping charges are ridiculous. Wondering if anyone knew a way to get around the high charges. Maybe getting a business to ship it? I'm assuming businesses get discounted prices.

Pm sent. I would like to know what service you are using as well. The post office quoted me a similar price for rush delivery. But I just sent it regular and it was $10 with insurance.

I checked the USPS, UPS, and Fed Ex online and they all gave me about the same price. Guess I will just go to the Post Office and check. Shipping 4) 12ft. Pinnacle Limit rods. Got a Tube to package them in from the cardboard center tube from a roll of Carpet.

The magic number at the Post Office is 83 inches. Length plus diameter cannot exceed 83 inches or your package will "balloon" to more than double. UPS and FED EX have similar policies.
Monk Monk's Crappie
using a tube that measures 76" long and 4" wide
