    Default blacks vs. whites

I don't know the answer and don't think I've ever heard anyone say, but do black and white crappie in the same area of a lake spawn at the same time or does one before the other?

Whites will spawn a little later but the time period will overlap. Whites also spawn in deeper water, and usually will not be up on the banks in shallow brush.

I've never caught a white in really shallow water, but blacks will get their backs out of the water for some reason.

I agree with RR, blacks will spawn dance in less than 2' at times but the whites hang a bit deeper. We seem to get a decent mix of whites and blacks this time of year, but when we go at night, we hardly ever get a black in the boat.
