I was hoping to get out this weekend after having to miss last weekend, might be a good thing to skip this one too. Actually, this is close to last year. Things were going well then we got a dumping of rain and cooler temps that messed up the spawn.
Everything is going to be flooded. The Missouri is going way up and flooding by the weekend. Area small lakes are up and will be mud. Oh well it is spring. What a change from last year. I think my potatoes are about to float in the garden.

The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

I hear ya perch, I was going to fish my first ever catfish tourney this weekend up in alton but we are flooded out. didnt matter if they canceled it or not, I wasn't going in this high water. I don't mess around with our big rivers when they are angry! but maybe if I had a kayak??? what's wrong with people these days???

guess I'll go buy a turkey tag and go hoot to the owls this weekend...
Either way I have already made plans to go hit up Tebo. If that does not work and things are bad then just hit up the ole reliable strip pit. I will post results.
We fished the Grand this morning and whacked them rigging. Had to stay towards the mouth of the creeks in the cleaner water. Wind was far worse than water conditions. Going to prefish some other areas in the morning.
With the size of the crap coming down the river that guy was crazy. Last year we saw a great invention. A guy was coming down the Missouri in a kayak and across the back of the yak was a plastic thing that stuck out both sides and had floating type things on each end. With that it would harder to flip a yak or a canoe. It was a cool thing.
