    Default Bobber Stops

I picked up a pack of them today. I thought about making my own but these are so cheap (13.26 cents each) I went ahead and sprung for them. They aren't only good for crappie and bluegill, but night fishing for trout as well.

They are cheap but those made out of dental floss are cheaper and easy to make. I always keep dental floss in the tackle box. Look in the stickie on this forum knots and rig drawings for beginners to find out how to make them.

Dental Floss. Go figure. I always have dental floss with me while in the field. It's good for mending torn nylon tents and canvas. You can also us it in an emergency to sew up a wound. Now bobber stops. Why didn't I think of that. Thanks Ship!

Joe, if you do want to use the rubber ones, BPS sells "sinker stops" in quantities of 45 for $2. They are the same thing without the bead and I always have plenty of beads on hand to use with them anyways.

I keep those little split tubes and wind 65# braid on them. They work better than what I bought. Of course, I am a tight wad.

I was looking at my stock of bobber stops last weekend and decided I need more. Thanks Shipahoy for the link and idea. I need to swing by McD's and pick up a few coffee straws.
