    Default Hr 4-13

Got on the water around 630 water temp 64.Started trolling for stripers from boat ramp toward panther creek then back toward second creek had several short strikes but no luck catching any stripers. My fishing partner clod managed to however catch a nice 2 1/2pd crappie on a big sassy shad.Tried our luck for a few hours then switched to crappie. We caught a bunch of small crappie and several fish over 8in but i dont like keeping fish under 10in just not enough meat for this big ol boy.Ended up bringing 6 crappie and 1 5pd channel cat home. All fish wer caught on minnows except the 21/2pder.Seemed to have better luck in water around 5to7 foot.Spoke to a few guys in one boat said they had been killing them on jigs all morning working piers.Said they wer having to weed through the bucks to get to the females but said they had several fish over a pd.Gotta find me a wireless foot remote for my motorguide trolling motor hard to fish piers in the wind and use a hand remote.Plan on goin back this wknd fishing should jus get alot better.Maybe clod wil post a pic of that pretty fish.
