    Default Beautiful Black Crappie

My son and I went to High Rock Saturday and caught 200+...about 50 keepers with the largest being 11". It was like a feeding frenzy. Went to Norman today bass fishing and didn't do very well...switched over to crappie and ran across some of the prettiest black crappie we have ever caught. Most were 11-13" in 2'-6'. Attached are a few pics from Lake Norman...

Very respectable catch. They are good looking fellas.

Nice fish. Those are males that turn dark during the spawn. The females will be coming in very soon.

My son went to a farm pond in Davidson county, and brought me back about 8 that were so black, I should have taken a few pictures, but they were solid black from there mouth to just past there gills

Great report if you hunt and fish with your kids you won't need to hunt and fish (loook ) for your kids
