Chatroom Imposter(s)

BEWARE!!! Someone or somebodies are sabotaging the chatroom and trying to stir up trouble by impersonating other users. He/She/It/They are logging in under my name and several others (JWhite and Anchor are two others that I've seen).

It's very unfortunate that a great site like this has to be corrupted like that and as a result He/She/It/They are getting what they want. Just so everyone knows, I will not participate in the chatroom and even the main board under a very limited basis until the problem is fully remedied. This is the third or fourth time this crap has started and enough is enough. I like the site but it's definitely not worth such aggrevation. I've got real crappie to catch and real bamboo to sink and I don't need to just sit here and talk about it when a bothersome gnat is buzzing about.

Someone give me a shout when and if the problem is permanently fixed.

Yeah, they are using my name to Darryl. Though I did pop in there and someone signed under the name ..jb..the last digits in their internet address was...189.125......

It tickles me for a grown man or woman to hide. What's the deal?

Mr. Morris I too have witnessed this persons attempts to disrupt things throughout the site. It's amazing to me that someone would find any pleasure from doing this. The comments that were directed to me after a confrontation through a PM showed that I only fueled this person's fire by letting him know that I got p***ed! From reading other member's posts, it's obvious that this has been going on for some time. This person is obviously not much of a man.....you'd think he'd have something better to do with his time and leave the people who are actually benefitting from information on the site alone. I'm sure he's probably been picked on througout his life and get's his jollies from being some sort of cyber-bully! If I could find out who it was, I'd tell him to just go back to perusing his internet porn and leave crappie.com alone! Just my two cents worth.

It's such a shame that someone has nothing better to do than to try to disrupt such a nice group of people.
I, personally, don't care what they say about me. I believe that those that have chatted with me know what I might would say and what I would NOT.
At the same token, I know what Fishingpox, Darryl, Jerry or any of the others would NOT say...it's pretty easy to see when there is an imposter.


All that said... y'all just remember that CHILDREN play. This person is either a true child, or very childlike. (ie retarded adult)

I know Ed is working on a solution to allow us a way to chat and not be bothered with the childishness. In the meantime....

for a more "perfect" Chatroom setup. In the meantime, I implore all members to NOT let this "poser" disrupt their routine use of this site, or any of its features. Allowing them to do so is playing into their hands. That's what motivates them. There's little doubt that this person has issues with this site, and various members of it. The sole goal of this person seems to be to create discord between members, in order to eliminate those members participation and enjoyment of this site.
The "old" chatroom is the only place where these attacks can be made anonymously, or by using another members name. Chatbox and Shoutbox were implemented to allow members to "chat", without these "fakes" interfering (or, at least, having to be recognized by their user ID). Neither of these programs has met all of the requirements that are necessary for a secure chat situation. Even Ed isn't totally satisfied with these programs, and continues to search for a better one. Please bare with us, as the search for & trial of any new chat programs continues. ......... cp

Well, I haven't been on chat in months now - not that I haven't wanted
to, but just ain't had the time. Doesn't surprise me though.

I've only been in the old chat room about 3 or 4 times since I've been a member of this site, mainly because I'm on dial-up and can't keep up with the chat good enough. I haven't been on either of the new ones with any posts, but have checked them out. You all have my word that if I'm on any of them, I WILL be talking about FISHING and nothing else! It's a shame that large animals always find ways back into places they're not wanted!

I'll bet if you have a way to check this idiot has been banned from this site in the past and is now on with a new name. Some people just enjoy turmoil! There are so many places they could go and fit right in, I don't understand why some are that way but, I do know that they exist. I never go to the chat because of the time factor. If I did it would be for my enjoyment and for the enjoyment of others. Ignore and they will go away, I promise.
