    Picked up 40 hand sized bream late Monday afternoon with my Dad in a nearby pond. Action should pick up and be hot between now and the full moon on the 25th for shellcrackers.

    We are headed down to Astor, Fl this Sunday for a week and hope to find the Crackers bedding before the full moon as they did last year. We also plan a trip down to Blackshear around the 21st just for crackers. Our rivers are full now but when they drain back to normal levels I will be their often looking for the River Reds.

    I pure love Bream fishing and the Crappie Jon is ready for River time....

    let me know how you do in astor.....do you ever fish lake dexter or woodruff while there??

    Yes we do. One of the better shell beds is in the mouth of Dexter.

    Let me know when you are on Blackshear. I haven't been able to find them this year like last year. Hydrilla covering areas I used to find them. Don't remember hydrilla ever being in this lake.
