Kipawa prop ? Anyone using this prop

Anyone using this prop on their trolling motor and if so pro's and con's please

I have just installed one on my Terrova 80. So far I have been pleased but really haven't been able to compare it to the stock Wedge prop that I took off. The Kipawa does seem to be very well built and they shipped it fast.

It might make the boat faster, but I'd be wary of any claims of increased range and battery life, unless this propeller warps time and space. It takes the same amount of energy to move a boat at any given speed for any amount of distance. Perhaps there is a slim chance that the prop design has less drag, but by the looks of it, and the fact that many TMs have two blades rather than 3, I highly doubt it. It would be nice to have an extra 1MPH on the top though, as I rarely run my TM battery all the way down.

I got one when the first came out with them. I really couldn't tell any difference but then I rarely do any trolling.

I bought mine due to the reviews that were posted on the GA Forum. I troll a lot and the chance that I may get increased battery life made it worth the price of the prop. I constantly run my batteries down completely when long-lining or trolling Bandits. A few more minutes of battery life could make or break a trip. BTW, if the prop increases boat speed and I troll at a given mph, it only stands to reason I should be able to run at a slightly lower setting on my Terrova and that means increased battery life in my book.

^ All that means is the trolling motor is drawing more amps to turn at a lower speed, as the extra energy is needed to push the additional water to gain the extra speed.
