    Default Going shallow

I figure the weather the next few few days will send them shallow. This is when i begin to struggle big time. What I'd like to know is what is the perfect conditions to find bedding fish. Water depth, bottom, preferred cover etc? It seems I'm fishing perfect spots at the right time and can never find them shallow.

I caught some shallow yesterday. Bass have been biting well for the past month or so. Using crappie jigs I've been catching bass regularly. Spots weighing 3 to 4.5 lbs are fairly common. Fun on the ultra light in the current in the canal below Bouldin Dam with two wheels churning. Nice crappie also.
