Very nice to read the posts of the techniques, baits, depths, etc. y'all use down this way to catch them crappies. My wife and I recently retired and moved to Rogersville area from VT. Looking forward to chasing and hopefully catching a lot of crappies. Just a might bit different down here especially this time of year. And, a very nice thing of not having to sit on a 5 gallon bucket on the ice or waiting until ice out. Will keep reading and maybe post a picture or two once we hook into them.
Fishing is relaxing and fun, but catching is when it really becomes fun!

I hope to get over that way someday. Your right in the vicinity of all the good fishing AL has to offer.
I just wish I could be better at fishing. Or maybe luckier!:D

Welcome to Alabama. I know the winters are milder but have you got to suffer through one of our summers yet? It gets hot as down here. LOL

Welcome! Around Memorial Day we always come to Rogersville area by the Yahct club and catch the blue cat run! There is flat out there about 15 foot deep that really hold the bluecat! Again welcome aboard and congratulations on Retirement!

Welcome to Alabama! I have a couple of friends from old job from South Burlington. I was at Wheeler Dam yesterday in my boat and caught a bunch of big freshwater drum on jigs. Lots of places for you to fish, but it is deeper water.
