Default Putting a accessory plug on a Starfire II

Has anyone cut off the battery clamps and installed a accessory plug on a Starfire light. If so how did you wire it up as far as connecting the positive and negitive wires on the plug or does it matter how you wire it up.

If you are talking about a cigarette lighter type plug....the center part is positive.

Yes that is exactly what I am talking about. I am gonna put cigarette lighter plugs on all my lights. I know on some lights you can reverse the positive and negative and it doesn't matter. Wasn't sure if that was the case with the starfire II lights or not. Don't want to burn my lights up.

Wire them with positive to center and negative to the side. You want your polarity right because you might want to plug in something besides a light sometime
