wish i could find some in southern indiana, use to have real good luck with them but nobody sells them anymore
Does anybody use catalpa worms for crappie? They work great for bream and catfish. I have bunches of worms and wondered if I need to pick any more for crappie fishing.

Where do you find them critters? Been hearing about them but don't know what they look like or where to find em. Thanks CF

Turkeyfoot, i dont know how they would do with crappie, i have seen them hit them on top of the water when they dropped from a tree, other than that I caint help you.
Ken, if you check the Alabama board, there is a post about them and where to find them.

You can't fish with a hung line!
You can find them on the leaves of a catalpa tree certain times of the year based on where you live. Right now in NC the leaves are full of them.
The trouble in cornbelt is the corn borer predator wasps have about killed them off I suspect. Used to be common now nothing.
