    Default 2 stripe nose today


    one was 10" the other was 12-3/4". been more common the last couple years around here.

    Thats awsum....I have never caught one of those....maybe this year

    They are very common down here in Texas.

    I catch them in Arkansas every now and again...caught 2 thus far in 2013. I want to catch a 3 lb one and mount it.

    Almost all of the sacs we catch that weigh over a pound have that blacktop down in the bayous

    Anything special about them? I've caught some and just thought they was cool looking. Didnt know they had a name for them.

    I've never called them anything different,
    We catch a lot of em when fishing the marsh with clear water

    Black Nose Crappie. It is a variation of the Black Crappie.

    you never heard of or seen of very many untill a few years ago around here. were they common years ago where you guys see lots of them now? are we going to see lots more in the future around here maybe?

    We call them Mustangs their a hybrid crappie developed several years ago. I think they developed them in Arkansas or Tennessee.
