    Default Painting Jig Eyes

Ok, so I realize that crappie will hit an unpainted jig and a painted one without eyes!

However, for some reason "I" need the eyes.

Tried the Quick Coat paint marker by CS Coatings. While I get that someone out there could make perfect eyes with this marker... I am not one of them!

So, thanks to the experts on this forum! Here is a shot of the first (5) I painted with a Drill Bit (5/32" AND 1/16") and Apple Barrel Gloss indoor/outdoor paint. Just need to hit them with some Hard as Hull head cement the guy at Cabela's recommended. I understand Sally's Hard as Nails is good but I was already at Cabela's and didn't want to make another stop.

    TMax27,

I paint the eye first with a 5/32 drill bit, let dry overnight, and then paint the pupil with a 1/16 drill bit, let dry overnight, then put a coat of "Hard as Hull"(a lot of people use Sally's Hard as Nails) on them.

Not sure if you have to let dry overnight but I am in no hurry and its a pain to have to repaint because of a smudge!
