Default Crappie in Lake Shafer, Indiana

Does anybody fish crappie on Lake Shafer in Indiana.

I vacation there in the summer, but never fish it.

Talking to the bait shop, they tell me they have a good fall and spring for crappie and walleye.

Just wondering if he is trying to sell bait or telling me the truth. Tells me there a one pounders in there. Don't really doubt that there could be with all docks and there are good stump fields in the Monon.

    Any insight would help,

    Thanks

I live in Monticello. I fish Shafer about 3 times aweek. The guy was not lieing to you. Spring and fall is the best time for crappie. You can get them all year long. They are not biting real well now. But Fall is coming! I have more luck around docks than in the stumps. Oh the fall blue gill are BIG!
