I have a Rapala AC/DC fillet knife. It works fair at best when using AC. It seems like it doesnt have enough juice to get the job done. What is a good brand of AC fillet knife that will last and do a good job. Thanks!!!!

As far as I am concerned, Rapala needs to quit making what they call a filet knife. I learned my lesson after burning up two of the AC/DC models on big catfish. American Angler is all I will ever own. They are a bargain from catfish connection. Memphis Net and Twine have them at a higher price but the cord is longer.
I used to use and recommend A. A. knives but not anymore. I think the quality has gone down and now they are making money off the name they made for themselves years ago. I've got a brand new one in the package, I haven't even bothered to open. I found an old one on ebay, better motor and much better than the new stuff out there.
Some of our guys use stuff from Walmart for $10-$15 and seem happy with it. I agree with Woodworker 43, you should go to the search engine for more info.
