is this the knot you guys are speaking of. JIG LOOP KNOT - YouTube sorry I have limited knowledge of any knot but willing to learns. are there any other knots of importance that I should have knowledge of since we're talking knots. Thanks for all replys.

This is how I tie mine. They don't show it with the line threaded through a jig eye on the first step of this. Just put one strand of your line through the jig eye and position it out at the end of the loop then proceed to tie your knot as shown here.

perfect! know if I wanted a jig above the bottom jig what knot is suggested? thanks again. does it matter if the loop/knot on the loop is not close to the eye on the jig?

Just leave a long tag line when you tie your upper jig then tie the same knot for your lower jig on your tag line.

I'm not completely sure what you meant by paralell but I'm assumming you mean hanging down along side the main line. If the jig is sticking out I guess that would be perpendicular to the line, at a right angle to it. But, for what it's worth, I was at the Grizzly Jig spring sale/show a few years ago and they put on some great seminars given by many of the pros, including Ronnie Capps, Steve Coleman Russ Bailey and Wally Marshall to name a few. Anyway, this very subject came up. I was taken back when one of them said NOT to tie the jig at a right angle to the line. He said to let it dangle down. It was his opinion that it is easier to hook them this way. It makes sense to me as it seems the hook is in a perfect position as the crappie strike upward and the hook naturally sticks in the upper part of the mouth where it should.
