I live in the Northern Tier of states, and every year our lakes all freeze over. I'm fairly new to targeting Crappies and I'm wondering where in a lake would I find the Crappies during the first 4 weeks after the ice melts? Any help would be rewarded with endless gratitude.
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.
But don't forget the Roadrunners
Over here we will find them right after ice out in any shallow bays/channels, especially ones w/ dark bottoms where the water warms up first.
