Humminbird Recording playback on PC - Humviewer

Has anyone else been able to get Humviewer to play their recordings since they upgraded to 6.6 or 6.61? I can still get Humviewer to open all my old recordings but it will not open the last recordings I have done when I was running 6.60. The file loads up and gets to 49% and sits there forever! I have left it for hours and it never continues and I cannot playback the recordings. Anyone have any suggestions? Ifs there something else I should be using to view the recordings on my PC?

HB changed the recording format in version 6.600...

Humviewer (or any other 3rd party viewer program) will hopefully eventually make changes to their individual viewer programs to allow the HB recordings to work...

I think I read that "SonarTRX" has made changes to allow the 6.600 version recordings to work but I haven't heard if any of the others have yet...

Remember, HB has no affiliation with any of the 3rd party viewer programs so HB can make changes to their own proprietary stuff any time they deem necessary...

I'm currently running 6.600 on my 1197 for the simple fact that 6.600 is necessary to run the new AS GPS HS antenna...so I will still be keeping my old version of software with my unit in case I want to revert the software so that I can make a recording of interesting stuff...

I really wish they would come out with some sort of software that would work as well as the Humviewer did. I would be willing to pay for it if they did. Seems like it would be a priority since some many of us like to video the recordings on a PC. I will try SonarTRX and see how it does. Thanks!

I still haven't heard anything on Martin and his Humviewer program...

He has dropped off the map at sideimagingsoft.com...

I did read last night that RGecy has updated his HBSI converter program so that SIVIEW will work..(I don't use it myself so I can't help with the converter or SIVIEW )...

I'll have to let Greg answer this one when he stops in...

I know that all unit versions starting at 6.600 were changing the recording format...

And now there are already some units available for the 6.610 version (which still does not work with the 3rd party viewers that I have heard)...

Thanx Greg I have 798 csi without hd so it doesn't apply to me.
